Compassus Hospice is seeking companion volunteers in Wadesville, Indiana and the surrounding areas. As a volunteer, you would simply provide companionship to a patient. That could mean talking, listening to and sharing stories, playing cards, working puzzles, reading, or doing any other activity the patient enjoys. Many of our patients love music, so if you play an instrument or sing, that's a plus! Just listening to music together is also welcomed.
We have patients who are on hospice for months or even years. Having a friendly companion is extremely therapuetic in helping ease anxiety and lonliness. Most of our volunteers commit to volunteering one time per week for about a hour, but any time you can donate is appreciated.
Are you ready to make a diffference? Call Volunteer Coordinator, Kim, with any questions. 812-909-8707
