Hospice Compassus is looking for musical volunteers who are able to play musical instruments, and/or hospice patients living at home, in the hospital or in long term care facilities.
We have found at times what a hospice patient needs the most is a way to express feelings without talking. The volunteer playing or singing their favorite song or hymns help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of sense of peace and happiness.
Hospice Compassus provides training on how to work with peoplel at the end of life. The volunteer provides the talent, compassion and time. The volunteer assignments are made according to the volunteer's time and location.
Please contact Kathleen OConnor (215-557-7300) our volunteer coordinator who will be able to provide additional information, or answer any questions.
