Mentor a Special Olympics athlete in Montgomery, Schuylkill and Erie counties!

Special Olympics empowers athletes to become contributing and respected members of society. Our Athlete Leadership Program prepares athletes for meaningful positions of influence and leadership, both on and off the playing field. Mentors support athletes in their journey to become Athlete Leaders.

As a mentor, you will support Special Olympics athletes in their journey to become Athlete Leaders. Mentors are matched with an athlete and offer ongoing support, constructive feedback and encouragement.

This volunteer role is a hybrid position - some of the work can be done from home and some of the work involves being present at Special Olympics or community events. Most mentors volunteer 5-10 hours per month. No experience is necessary - just a willingness to support Special Olympics and it's athletes!

If you are interested in this role, we would love to connect with you to tell you more about it! Please connect with us at volunteer@specialolympicspa.org, and when you are ready to apply you can fill out a volunteer application on our website at https://specialolympicspa.org/become-a-volunteer.
