Microsoft Nonprofit Toolkit Specialist for Ripples in Africa

Help amplify our impact across West Africa by optimizing our use of Microsoft's nonprofit tools! Ripples in Africa seeks a dedicated Microsoft Nonprofit Toolkit Specialist to enhance our digital capabilities and streamline operations supporting women entrepreneurs and sustainable agriculture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Microsoft 365 Nonprofit Management:
- Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 Nonprofit suite (including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive) to support collaboration among our staff and 17,200 women entrepreneurs.
- Implement best practices for document management and information sharing.
- Set up and manage security and compliance features to protect sensitive data.

- Power Platform Implementation:
- Develop custom Power Apps to streamline field data collection for our climate-resilient farming programs.
- Create Power Automate flows to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Design Power BI dashboards to visualize our impact on 45,000 children and their communities.

- Dynamics 365 Nonprofit Accelerator:
- Customize and implement Dynamics 365 Nonprofit Accelerator to manage donor relationships, volunteer engagement, and program outcomes.
- Configure the Common Data Model for Nonprofits to ensure standardized data across our systems.

- Training and Support:
- Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on Microsoft Nonprofit tools.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting.
- Create user guides and documentation for key processes.

- Strategic Technology Planning:
- Assess our current technology use and develop a roadmap for leveraging Microsoft Nonprofit tools to enhance our impact.
- Stay updated on new features and best practices in the Microsoft Nonprofit ecosystem.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and its applications for nonprofits.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and its Nonprofit Accelerator.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication abilities to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft certifications related to 365, Power Platform, or Dynamics 365.
- Experience working with international development organizations or social enterprises.
- Understanding of data protection regulations relevant to nonprofit operations.
- Knowledge of change management principles for technology adoption.

- Improve data management and reporting capabilities to better demonstrate our impact to donors and partners.
- Enable seamless collaboration among our teams across multiple African countries.

Time Commitment: 15-20 hours/week (flexible)

We work with women and youth, training them on modern, eco-friendly agriculture techniques to help them transform their economies to be a more inclusive, productive and sustainable one..

Description

Ripples works in Ghana, Madagascar and Nigeria, and has worked funded and provided funding that has benefited over 6,000 since it's inception in the UK in 2005. We currently have a Farm project: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/ripples-farms.php; and an Experential Internship program: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/internship.php
We want to encourage American youth to develop international lenses and become immersed in a rich culture where they are part of the solution as well as create a hands on learning environment on creative ways to humanitarian efforts. We are in partnership with a several universities and successfully completed a trips with students from Europe and the United States. We want to raise funds and awareness for the program. We have several reports and videos from past students after their visits. We have several projects going on in Africa which served as an internship for the students.
