Do you have a passion for helping effect positive change in your community? FLIPANY is changing lives daily through its interwoven health programs addressing access to healthy food, providing mentored physical activity, and culturally relevant nutrition education. We provide nutrition education, physical activity, and other health and wellness services in the community. We serve Miami/Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.

All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and attend our virtual volunteer orientation. Our volunteer orientation is a brief introduction to who we are, what we do, and information about the volunteer onboarding paperwork and process.

After attending orientation, all volunteers are required to submit/complete onboarding paperwork and clearance requirements based on the program area they choose to volunteer within. The times below are how long the onboarding activities generally take to complete.

Administration & Events - Approximately 20 minutes

Senior Nutrition - Approximately 2 hours

Youth Programs - Approximately 2 hours

Unfortunately, we DO NOT offer volunteer hours for court ordered community service.

Orientation is virtual. The address listed is for our main office in Dania Beach, FL. Addresses for volunteer sites are provided after orientation and clearances.

Mission Statement

FLIPANY’s mission is to advance healthy equity through healthy meals, nutrition education, mentored physical activities, and wellness initiatives.

FLIPANY is disrupting the way health and wellness support is offered to communities that have been historically ignored. We serve nutritious food, encourage healthy eating and get people to move, but our work is so much more: We "sit at the table" with families and kids, and work tirelessly to inspire them to transform their lives with healthy meals and consistent physical activity. Partners seek our support again and again because of our relentless drive to find out-of-the-box initiatives that will ensure equitable access to healthy living for everyone.
