Hospice Compassus is looking for musical volunteers who are able to play musical instruments and/or sing for our hospice patients either at patients home, in the hospital or in long-term care facilities.
We have found sometimes what a hospice patient needs most is a way to expresss feelings without talking. The volunteer by playing or singing their favorite song or hymns can help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of peace and happiness.
Hospice Compassus provides training on how to work with people at the end stage of life. The volunteer provides the talent, compassion, and time. The volunteer assignments are made according to the volunteer's time and location.
Please contact contact Kathleen O'Connor(215-557-7300) our volunteer coordinator who will be able to provide additional information or answer any questions.
