We need translators fluent in Turkish to help us translate our early math materials. We need to translate descriptions of math games and puzzles for families to play to together. We need to translate annotated storybooks for adults to read to children. The most important education occurs in the early years in the home - please help us improve math education for all children!

About Early Family Math

Location:

1402 Eolus Ave, Encinitas, CA 92024, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster math education in the first eight years of a child’s life by changing the relationship families throughout the world have with mathematics. These free materials give families a way to enjoy playing with math together as their children learn math. The activities create an environment where math is seen as a social activity that everyone in the family can do with confidence and ease, thus breaking the cycle of insecurity and dislike of math that so many adults have, and that is so often passed on to their children.

Description

Early Family Math is a young organization started around the beginning of 2021. We are an all volunteer organization. Our main activity is our website, EarlyFamilyMath.org, that has free math games, puzzles, activities, investigations, and annotated storybooks. All of these materials are designed for a family to enjoy doing together. We are in the early stages of connecting with early reading programs hoping to create partnerships. While we wish to help all families, our particular interest is in helping families in low-resource communities.
