ORGANIZATION: Western Tennessee A&M

Position Overview:

Western Tennessee A&M is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Outreach Coordinator to join our volunteer team. This role is integral in fostering relationships between the institution and the local community, enhancing our outreach efforts, and promoting our programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with local community members, organizations, and businesses.
  • Organize and participate in community events, fairs, and workshops to promote Western Tennessee A&M's programs and services.
  • Create and distribute promotional materials, such as flyers, newsletters, and social media content, to increase awareness of the institution’s offerings.
  • Coordinate volunteer activities and manage a team of outreach volunteers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to identify collaboration opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from community members to improve outreach initiatives and report findings to the administration.
  • Assist in planning and executing on-campus events aimed at community engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in community outreach, event planning, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic design tools.
  • Enthusiastic about Western Tennessee A&M’s mission and programs.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to attend events and meetings outside of regular working hours as needed.
