Position Title: GOTV Project Volunteer

Organization: Austin NOW

Duration: June 1, 2024 - November 30, 2024

Objective: Assist Austin NOW in executing a targeted Get Out The Vote (GOTV) campaign aimed at increasing voter registration and participation in marginalized communities.

Team Roles and Responsibilities for Austin NOW's GOTV Project

Volunteer Communications Specialist


  • Create and manage content for social media campaigns and the project website.
  • Develop messaging tailored to the unique concerns of the targeted communities.
  • Design and distribute informational materials (flyers, leaflets, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the media to promote events and activities.
  • Track engagement metrics and adjust communication strategies accordingly.
Volunteer Events Coordinator


  • Plan and execute community events such as voter registration drives, workshops, and motorcades.
  • Secure venues and necessary permits for events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup, materials, and refreshments.
  • Promote events through various channels.
  • Collect feedback from participants to improve future events.
Volunteer Data Analyst


  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from GOTV activities.
  • Track and report on key metrics, such as voter registration numbers and event attendance.
  • Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project data.
Volunteer Technology Specialist


  • Manage and maintain the technology platforms used for phone banking, texting campaigns, and data collection.
  • Provide technical support to team members and volunteers.

Volunteer Community Liaison
