ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

Your role as a Customer Service Host Volunteer would be to provide friendly customer service and basic interpretation to visitors at the Devil's Churn information booth in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. Hosts will be scheduled to work 4 days a week, approximately 6 hours per shift (9:30am-3:15pm). The responsibilities include selling Forest Service recreation passes and merchandise from the Discover Your Northwest gift shop including sales and operation of cash register and credit card machine, informing visitors about the scenic area and surrounding area, and performing light cleaning of the Devil's Churn information booth.


-We are currently searching for Fall/Spring 2025/2026 but are open to discuss other seasonal host opportunities.

-We are potentially flexible on the length of volunteering with a minimum of 4 months.


The Forest Service offers:

● An RV site with full hookups to include water, sewer, electrical, wireless internet and reimbursement for propane usage.

● Washer and dryer available at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center.

● Forest Service vests are required and provided by the Forest Service. Vests are green and should be worn over black shirt with dark blue jeans or black pants.

● If applicable, mileage reimbursement is .14/mile for travel to and from the Visitor Center/Devil's Churn for scheduled work shifts
