AZ Impact for Good is looking for some volunteers for our upcoming Annual Nonprofit + Grantmaker Conference August 15 at the Mesa Convention Center!

All roles must wear business casual attire with a provided shirt, designating them as volunteers

All volunteers agree to meet over a 30-min Zoom call on a TBD specified date week before August 15 th for volunteer orientation.

All volunteers will receive a snack, breakfast and/or lunch, depending on their volunteer shift.

The venue is a 15-minute walk from the light rail if public transportation is needed.

Registration/Check In Volunteer (7:00am - 11:00am)

  • Assist staff with finding appropriate nametagsfor registrants at check in desk
  • Giving conference bags and information (Wi-Fi, bathroom locations etc.)to registrants
  • Able to answer questions about venue and location of sessions/schedule if necessary
  • Ability to use computer if necessary

Lunch/Exhibitor Volunteer (10:30am-1:00pm)

  • Assist any exhibitors at their booths (keynote speakers, etc.)
  • Check in with exhibitors for any assistanceneeded
  • Help registrants with special dietary restrictions get their meals

Conference Runners (AM-7:00am-1:00pm & PM-11:30am - 4:30pm)

  • Notify A/V staff of lunch starting or afternoon sessions starting after lunch to announce on PA system
  • Assist staff to go to whatever sessions necessary that needs help/bring materials back and forth

Tear Down Volunteers (3:30pm-6:30pm)

  • Assist in picking up signage, supplies, d├ęcor, etc. and putting away in appropriate bins
  • Loading up vehicles with event supplies
  • Ability to carry at least 15 lbs. and walk back and forth from venue to parking lot

Room Attendant Volunteer (AM-9:00-11:00am and/orPM-12:30 pm-4pm)

  • Assist staff/speakersto pass out materials/supplies to attendees for each session
  • Introduce speakers using supplied script as needed
  • Distribute and collect attendance sheets at each session
  • Run presentation software and help with microphones as appropriate
  • Direct attendees to happy hour in main hall

  • Opening Plenary & Keynote - 8:30am
  • Session Breakouts (AM) - 9:30am
  • Lunch & Exhibitors - 10:45am
  • Lunch Plenary & Keynote - 12:00pm
  • Session Breakouts (PM1) - 1:00pm
  • Networking - 2:15pm
  • Session Breakouts (PM2) - 2:45pm
  • Mixer - 4:00pm
