Position Overview: FLI-SL is seeking dedicated and passionate volunteer Grant Writers to join our team. As a Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in securing the necessary funding to support our programs and initiatives aimed at ending violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference and have a knack for persuasive and impactful writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with FLI-SL’s mission and programs.
- Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Collaborate with FLI-SL’s leadership team to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
- Develop and maintain a calendar of grant deadlines to ensure timely submission.
- Assist in writing reports and providing updates to funders on the progress and impact of funded projects.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, communication, and research skills.
- Experience in grant writing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Passion for FLI-SL’s mission and a commitment to making a difference.

We are Future Leaders Initiative SL, committed to ending violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone through advocacy, media, and technology. Founded by Ibrahim S. Bangura, a survivor of violence, our mission ensures the welfare of every vulnerable child.
Our Story: Ibrahim S. Bangura’s experiences inspired FLI-SL to break the cycle of violence and protect future generations.
Our Purpose: To end violence against children, women, and girls, focusing on transforming lives in learning environments across Sierra Leone.
