We are looking for a talented, motivated individual who is passionate about service to join our team as a grants writer. The main responsibilities of this role include preparing and submitting grant proposals, conducting research, identifying and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of education, vocational training, and technology. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills, database management abilities, and a strong commitment to our organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit grant applications in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all guidelines and requirements.
  • Research and identify relevant public and private grant opportunities for our organization's programs and initiatives.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the mission, objectives, and impact of our organization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes using database management systems.
  • Monitor and track the progress of grant applications, follow up on pending applications, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about funding trends, opportunities, and best practices in grant writing and fundraising.


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree preferred in creative writing, communications, marketing and public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement tracking systems and processes effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure, exercise independent judgment, and produce high-quality work within strict time constraints.
  • Preferred previous experience in grant writing or fundraising, with a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of research methods and the ability to identify funding opportunities for special programs.
