Hate (invasive) plants? Love plants? Either way, we have an opportunity for you! Join our plant patrol and help us out during monthly clean-ups or invasive plant removals. Volunteers in this position must be comfortable working outside for 1-3 hours at a time doing things such as:
-Pulling invasive plants/weeds
-Operating hand tools to remove plants (i.e loppers or shears)
-Mapping plants in a specific area using the iNaturalist app
-Walking in heavily wooded areas
-Helping us maintain our current native plant species
-And other duties as discussed
Please note that due to the possibility of moderately-strenuous labor and tool usage, children under the age of 16 will not be allowed to participate in plant patrol events.
***No prior knowledge or experience with plants is required, just bring yourself (in long pants and closed shoes!!) and a hard-working, friendly demeanor!***
