Do you love art and want to make a difference in your community?

The Arts Memory Cafe is a welcoming space for individuals living with memory loss and their caregivers to connect creatively. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist our teaching artist during our weekly art sessions.

What you'll do:

  • Help set up and clean up the art space
  • Assist participants with materials and techniques
  • Offer encouragement and friendly conversation
  • Create a positive and supportive environment

Schedule:

  • Wednesdays, August 14th through December 11th , 2024
  • 9:45 AM - Arrive and help with setup
  • 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM - Assist with art activity
  • 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM - Help with cleanup

No prior art experience is necessary! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds who are passionate about supporting others and fostering a love for art.

Description

Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
