Recruiting Organization: Warren County Community Services, Inc.

Volunteer tutors with the Literacy Connections program (formerly the Adult New Readers program) at Warren County Community Services, Inc. teach basic English language skills (reading and writing) to adults aged 18 and over, including English-as-a-Second-Language learners. Tutors and students are matched within their communities and meet in local libraries and other public buildings in Warren County. Tutors receive free training and materials. Volunteer tutors must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Literacy Connections recommends meeting for one hour per week for at least one year.
