About Us:
Vital Village Networks, based at Boston Medical Center, is dedicated to building community capacity to advance equity in maternal and child health through collaboration, research, data-sharing, training, and advocacy.
Position Overview:
The Maternal Health Equity/Community Peer Lactation Scholars Community Mobilization Coordinator will work with the Vital Village Network team to support sustainable community leadership in advancing maternal and child health equity. This role focuses on collaborating with community lactation professionals and scholars, enhancing civic engagement, and developing outreach systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with community leaders and certified Lactation Counselors to promote maternal and child health equity.
- Increase civic engagement through social media platforms.
- Create a sustainable outreach system to inform community partners and members about opportunities provided by WARMLINE and encourage participation in team meetings and program events.
- Improve the community engagement online platform for the orientation of new WARMLINE volunteers.
- Coordinate engagement of civic leaders in meetings, workshops, trainings and community service roles
- Support ongoing program evaluation and tracking of key indicators of success

Qualifications
- Experience with community engagement, event coordination, and community-based programs
- Collaborative leadership style, adaptability, growth mindset, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization, coordination, and documentation skills
- Detail-focused and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting
- Strong oral communications skills and writing ability
- Commitment to health equity and strengths-based community capacity building.
- Knowledge of Google Drive tools (Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides, etc.) and Zoom video/meeting platform
