Social and Emotional Wellbeing Community Mobilization Coordinator


Vital Village Networks, based at Boston Medical Center, is dedicated to building community capacity to advance equity in child health and well-being. We achieve this through collaboration, research, data-sharing, training, and advocacy.


Position Overview:

The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Community Mobilization Coordinator will enhance our efforts to support equitable and sustainable access to community-level resources and supports for child and family well-being. This role involves fostering collective actions that build resilient and healthy communities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and implement sustainable socio-emotional learning resources, programs, and partnerships.
  • Create web-based resources, trainings, and tools to support child and family well-being.
  • Coordinate and support a community-led Mental Health Committee, including preparation for initiatives such as the annual May Mental Health Month Campaign.
  • Develop and maintain an updated text messaging platform system to curate content from network partners on events, workshops, and resources.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience and interest in community engagement and event coordination
  • Collaborative leadership style, adaptability, growth mindset, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization, coordination, and documentation skills
  • Detail-focused and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting
  • Strong oral communications skills and writing ability
  • Commitment to health equity and strengths-based community capacity building.
  • Knowledge of Google Drive tools (Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides, etc.) and Zoom video/meeting platform
