ORGANIZATION: SONS OF ITALY IN AMERICA

Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (SDIA) non-profit organization is looking for volunteers to assist in their National Headquarters Office in Washington, DC. Located in Capitol Hill, SDIA promotes Italian-Americans embracing their heritage as well as philanthropic work.

We are looking for energetic individuals who enjoy giving back and lending a helping hand. No need to be Italian-American, but a love of all things Italian is a plus.

Our ideal candidates are reliable, trustworthy, and can regularly volunteer 1-2 days a week for a few hours per each shift.

Your tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Read and scan correspondence
  • Prepare outgoing mailings
  • Catalogue historical memorabilia
  • Event preparations

The Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (SDIA) is the largest and oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States. Founded in 1905 as a mutual aid society for the early Italian immigrants, today OSDIA has hundreds of thousands of family members located in all fifty states and the District of Columbia, making it the leading service and advocacy organization for the nation's estimated 26 million people of Italian descent.
