Child care volunteer: We are looking for motivated individuals with a heart for families/children with special needs. This is an opportunity to help the parents of these families to have a night out while putting their mind at ease that they have one-on-one care for their children and siblings.
More importantly, this is the opportunity for you to essentially care for/play with these children and their siblings. We have themed crafts, toys, games, movies and a quiet room all to create a safe and accepting environment for these children. Everything is provided for you; we just need you, your heart and your time.
The Broomfield site holds our Night Lights evening on the 2nd Friday of most months. While we don't require 100% participation from our volunteers, we hope that we can get a minimum commitment of 6 evenings per year.

Description
Night Lights is a respite care organization for families with children with special needs and their siblings, ages 1 month to 12 years. Each child is paired one-on-one with a trained, background-checked volunteer. There is a nurse on site for all Night Lights events to tend to the children with medical needs. Each evening, the children enjoy a variety of activities such as, sensory and gross motor play, arts and crafts, pet therapy, and movies.
