SUN Summer Support Volunteer - Shaver Elementary

Schedule:
July 15th - August 9th. 8:15 am- 12:30pm. Monday- Thursday.
Program Description:
IRCO’s School-Based Programs support youth and families through site-specific community school services. We support children, youth and families through their neighborhood schools by providing a rich array of extended day programming, food and resource support, Kindergarten readiness, parent leadership, and family engagement. Our 20 SUN Community Schools serve as resource hubs across Multnomah County empowering communities through their schools.
Position Summary:
In this role, you will assist in facilitating various activities, provide general support to summer program staff, and report any student issues to the staff. Additionally, you will help support meal times and supervise during recess, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all students. This position is perfect for those passionate about working with children and eager to support their educational and recreational activities. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting, develop teamwork and communication skills, and make a positive impact on young students' summer experiences.
Experience working with youth or an interest in working with youth.
Adaptable and enthusiastic.
Requirements:
Must be 18 or older
Must pass background check
Time Commitment:
The summer program will run from July 15th - August 9th.
