STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Media Manager for Medical Science Academy to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to service the youth in our community.
Time Commitment: 3 - 6 hours per week for 3-4 months.
Start Date: Immediate
Location:STEM Montessori Academy of Canada(Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our brand awareness and online presence.
  • Create and curate engaging content for our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas and strategies that can boost our online presence.
  • Collaborate with our team to promote events, programs, and campaigns.
  • Engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor user reviews.
  • Oversee the social media accounts’ design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and blog layout).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to express our company’s views creatively.
  • An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform.
  • Passion for STEM education and community outreach.
