STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Volunteer Curriculum Planner For Medical Science Academy to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to service the youth in our community.
Time Commitment: 3 - 6 hours per week for 3-4 months.
Start Date: Immediate
Location:STEM Montessori Academy of Canada(Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and plan a comprehensive curriculum for the Medical Science Academy program.
  • Collaborate with educators and industry professionals to ensure the curriculum is current, relevant, and engaging.
  • Create lesson plans, educational materials, and assessment tools.
  • Adapt curriculum to cater to different learning styles and educational needs.
  • Assist in training volunteers and educators on the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make improvements as necessary.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in medical science education.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Medical Sciences, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience in curriculum development, teaching, or educational planning.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian education system and STEM education.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in digital tools for remote collaboration and curriculum development.
