STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. The STEM programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.
We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require a Content Manager for the Coding Academy to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to service the youth in our community.

Time Commitment: 3 - 6 hours per week for 3-4 months.
Start Date: Immediate
Location:STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (Remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage high-quality content for the academy’s website, blog, social media channels, and newsletters.
  • Create engaging educational materials including tutorials, guides, and course descriptions.
    Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely publication of content.
  • Work closely with instructors, program managers, and other volunteers to gather content ideas and ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors to produce multimedia content.
    Optimize content for search engines to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor website and social media analytics to measure content performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Engage with the coding community through social media, forums, and other platforms to promote content and gather feedback.
  • Respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that supports the academy’s goals and enhances its online presence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into the content strategy.
    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web development tools is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
