Mount Baldy Visitor Center and Education Program

Save to Favorites

The Angeles National Forest strives to create a welcoming, safe environment for visitors to our local mountains. Visitor interaction through the Mt. Baldy Visitor Center (VC) serves as a hub for interpretation and education. The VC offers a number of services to visitors, such as bathrooms, indoor and outdoor exhibits, and a gift shop. The VC is staffed by experienced volunteers with fantastic educational and interpretive skills. Visitor services volunteers work side-by-side with Forest Service employees and other experienced volunteers to provide visitors with a wide range of information to safely enhance the visitor’s experience. Reaching children early offers the best hope for wise use of our natural resources and public spaces. The Forest Service partners with a non-profit to provide curriculum-based field trips to two local Forest Service facilities in the San Gabriel Mountains - in the San Gabriel Canyon Education Center above Azusa, CA and the Mt.
