ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Help inspire others to make a special connection to nature - and to Joshua Tree National Park!

Desert Institute is the educational branch of Joshua Tree National Park Association , a non-profit partner of Joshua Tree National Park. Desert Institute’s mission is to help the Park achieve its education and interpretation program goals, and we do this by hosting a variety of field classes, seminars, workshops, and recreational adventures throughout the year. We rely on our National Park Service (NPS) volunteers to support our programming and our program participants.

Join our team to help park visitors build a meaningful relationship with the park and its community!
