Estimated 4-6 hours of vounteer time a month.
Exeperience in Quickbooks Desktop and Excel required
Ongoing work will consist of:
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using a designated accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Reconcile bank statements monthly and investigate any discrepancies
- Track income and expenses against the budget and report variances to management.
- Assist with year-end closing procedures and preparation for the annual audit.
- Secure and safeguard all financial data in accordance with best practices.
- May participate in payroll processing and tax preparation with oversight from a qualified professional.
Qualifications:
- Experience with bookkeeping principles and a strong understanding of debits and credits is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is preferred.

Officially founded as a non-profit in 2004 by Ellis "El-Dog" Ferrell, Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club is a community-based organization in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, dedicated to providing horsemanship education, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities for youth in Philadelphia. The club has been a pillar of the community in North Philadelphia for over 50 years, offering a unique and positive outlet for young people to learn valuable life skills through their love of horses.
