Greet visitors and help staff the Visitor Contact Station at the Missouri National Recreational River Headquarters!


When: June through end of August; 4-hour shifts are available each week on Mondays and Tuesdays

Where: MNRR Headquarters Visitor Contact Station at 508 East 2nd Street, Yankton, SD 57078

What: Visitor Contact Station Volunteers will greet and orient visitors who come into the HQ Visitor Contact Station. During different interactions, they may answer questions, give recommendations on things to do, provide informal interpretation on the park's resources and history, set up the park film, and facilitate sales of new MNRR merchandise.

Why: As a volunteer, you can spend time meeting and interacting with new people, help the park provide high-quality customer service to its visitors, learn more about the Missouri National Recreational River, gain experience working with the National Park Service, and so much more!
