The JSTEM member will lead Facebook marketing, research best practices for social media engagement, build capacity for increased Instagram, and develop a working relationship with local media and governmental agencies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a member of the team at JSTEM responsible for executing JSTEM's annual development plan for Marketing, Communications, and Outreach to ensure a clear and concise communication strategy that strengthens the brand for consumers and external stakeholders.
  • Gain a deep understanding of JSTEM's mission and strategize outreach efforts to effectively promote it.
  • Network and collaborate with other service providers to share information and resources.
  • Collaborate with JSTEM's volunteers to gather innovative ideas and resources.
  • Responsible for the growth of JSTEM's social media presence by developing and posting engaging content consistent with the overall communications strategic plan.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned.

Mission Statement

Juvie for STEM is a certified nonprofit working towards reducing the educational disparities in juvenile centers and correctional facilities through our three service programs and various volunteer teams. Through our nation-wide events, fundraisers, and chapters, JSTEM advocates for assisting the childhood of incarcerated youth.

Description

With chapters in 18 states and volunteers from every U.S. state (including U.S. territories), juveniles can explore a wide range of subjects, from coding and data analysis to the complex problems of astrophysics. These courses equip them with valuable tools and knowledge, preparing them for exciting futures.
