Harbor House provides outreach services and a safe, 24/7 shelter for survivors of domestic abuse.
Meal time volunteers aid in that mission by working with our lead chef to prepare food and assist with setup/cleanup in the dining area for clients in shelter. Volunteers are needed around lunch and dinner time every day.
Meal serving qualifications include: Experience in serving (preferred), ability to multitask, good communication skills and comfort level working with clients in the shelter.
Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.
Times: Weekdays 4:30p-6:30p
