21 Vets, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing veteran suicide rates, is seeking a dedicated Grant Writing Volunteer to join our team and make a significant impact.

About the Role:

In this crucial volunteer role, you will play a vital part in securing funding to support our critical programs and services that empower Veterans and prevent suicide. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and identifying grant opportunities aligned with our mission.
  • Collaborating with program staff to develop compelling grant narratives highlighting the impact of our work.
  • Writing persuasive grant proposals that adhere to specific guidelines and deadlines.
  • Proofreading and editing proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and strong grammar.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to ensure successful grant submissions.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a proven ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  • Experience with grant writing for nonprofit organizations.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit grant applications and guidelines (a plus).
  • Passion for supporting Veterans and a desire to make a difference.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic online research tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
