About Us:

International Student Exchange is a non-profit high school exchange program founded in 1982. Each year, we sponsor approximately 2,500 high school exchange programs, providing unique opportunities for personal growth and development to students and host families alike. Our mission is to educate tomorrow’s leaders, foster culturally-informed citizens of the world, and promote peaceful, cooperative international relations through our exchange programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with local high schools and families to support our high school exchange student program.
• Contact schools to secure acceptance for exchange students.
• Recruit and screen volunteer host families within your community.
• Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to exchange students and host families throughout the program.

Key Traits and Requirements:

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and people skills.
• Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel within 120 miles of your home if required.
• Access to a computer, printer, and scanner.
• Goal-oriented and capable of working well within a team.
• Passionate about working with international exchange students.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
