Juvie for STEM is a certified nonprofit working towards reducing the educational disparities in juvenile centers and correctional facilities through our three service programs and various volunteer teams. By creating a JSTEM chapter, you are taking a step towards bettering the lives of countless children. Leading a JSTEM chapter means bringing our mission (www.juvieforstem.org) to your school, region, or state. By joining our international chapter network, you are upholding the values all JSTEM team members share: passion, diligence, empathy and creativeness.

Even if a chapter already exists in your area, feel free to broaden/minimize your area of concentration by making a state, regional, or state chapter!

Positions Available (note: may be different given size of Chapter):

  • President

  • Social Media Manager
  • Outreach Manager
  • Communications Director
  • etc.

Before initializing a chapter, you must confirm the names and positions of the other leaders, and have a minimum of 5 ADDITIONAL volunteer members.

Mission Statement

Juvie for STEM is a certified nonprofit working towards reducing the educational disparities in juvenile centers and correctional facilities through our three service programs and various volunteer teams. Through our nation-wide events, fundraisers, and chapters, JSTEM advocates for assisting the childhood of incarcerated youth.

Description

With chapters in 18 states and volunteers from every U.S. state (including U.S. territories), juveniles can explore a wide range of subjects, from coding and data analysis to the complex problems of astrophysics. These courses equip them with valuable tools and knowledge, preparing them for exciting futures.
