Help us to save perfectly good fresh fruits and vegetables and give back to the community!

Harvest surplus crops alongside seasoned farmers, sort produce to be transported to local food pantries, and become more involved within the Lancaster County Community.

Sign up for alerts from our Farm to Pantry Project to be notified when there is an upcoming harvest to join between the months of May and October. Signing up for alerts does not obligate you to come to any event, it simply keeps you up to date on upcoming harvests. Locations will vary around Lancaster County. No previous knowledge required. All ages welcome.

Mission Statement

Vigorously accelerate permanent protection and stewardship of farmland

Description

We envision our farms, soil, water, and roots protected for all.

Established in 1988, Lancaster Farmland Trust has developed into a robust and dynamic organization with more than 573 easements under our belt consisting of more than 35,000 acres that serve to protect farmland from development, particularly within the Plain Sect. In the years after our founding, national recognition surrounded Lancaster Farmland Trust for the success of our efforts. Lancaster Farmland Trust is a leader in private farmland preservation. We are a private, nonprofit organization with the mission of preserving agriculture and stewarding the land. Our volunteer Board of Trustees understands the cultural and economic importance of protecting working lands. Our funding comes through donations from private individuals and businesses, and grants from various private and public organizations and foundations.
