Make a difference in another adult's life. Tutor adult learners one-on-one in libraries, or in classes or small group settings, close to your home or workplace. Help adult learners improve reading, writing and math skills to obtain a high school diploma or GED. You may also work with adolescent learners in alternative education settings. Daytime or evening opportunities are available. Training, materials and ongoing support, including workshops, are provided. High school diploma required; college preferred. See how 90 minutes a week can make a huge difference in your community!

To provide life-long learning opportunities to adults seeking to increase their basic education skills in order to obtain a high school diploma or pass the GED test.
Description
Volunteer Learning Program is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools Adult & Community Education, Fairfax County Juvenile Court, and the Fairfax County Public Library. The tutorial program offers adults the opportunity to advance their educational skills through working with a tutor.
