Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Veteran Transition Researcher to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to gather data and information on the needs of veterans during their transition from military service to civilian life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for supporting veterans.

Knowledge of veteran support organizations, government programs, and resources is required to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify the challenges and needs faced by veterans during the transition process.
  • Identify current available resources, organizations, and entities specializing in US military needs.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other research methods.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in veteran transition services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies and initiatives addressing the veterans’ identified needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant literature, policies, and best practices related to veteran transition services.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate research findings to stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting research, data analysis, or program evaluation, preferably with a focus on military or veterans’ issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a start-up environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights to inform decision making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with veterans or military personnel is a plus.
