Our garden is an additional tool God provided for our participants. Many have never seen food grow and they get an opportunity to cultivate it and oftentimes eat from the garden they helped tend. As a Gardening Lead Volunteer, you will hold an important role in helping us maintain it. This garden is tended to by participants. However, a key lead who can create a master calendar plan for planting, weeding, mulching, watering, harvesting, composting, scouting for pets & infestations, and more, as needed. As the lead you will also come outside of participant time, to help with any of the previous activitities that were not completed. Participate in special projects like seed collection, propagation, and species success records. You will also help with tool maintenance to ensure the garden tools are in good condition for program activities.
