The Director of Operations, is a executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. Their primary goal is to ensure that the organization runs efficiently and effectively.

General Responsibilities & Duties of Operations Director:

• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization’s overall goals & objectives
• Work with senior management to set a list of short-term and long-term goals for each department and team
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Use data and analytics to track performance and make informed decisions
• Oversee the allocation and management of resources (personnel, documents, etc)
• Ensure resources are used to efficiently and effectively meet operational goals
• Foster a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork and high performance
• Identify potential risks to operations and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments based on organizational needs and volunteer availability
• Organize events and activities to celebrate and appreciate volunteers' efforts
• Maintain regular communication with volunteers through newsletters, emails, and meetings
• Facilitate volunteer meetings and forums for feedback and collaboration

Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills with the ability to work with multiple Google Suite applications (Docs, Spreadsheets, Gmail)
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner; ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred
• Time management is key. Organizational skills are a MUST .
• Good communication skills.
• Approachable and must carry in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
