2024 Central Region Regional Surf Competition

ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics Florida, Inc.

Special Olympics Florida athletes will compete in the Central Region Regional Surf Competition on Saturday, July 20. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, check in, escorting athletes, lunch distribution, awards and more.

Volunteers will receive:

  • A FREE Special Olympics White T-Shirt
  • FREE Lunch
  • A record of community service hours

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Complete a Class B Form - will be sent via email prior to the event
  • Bring a photo ID to the event
  • Volunteers under 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult

"The mission of Special Olympics Florida (SOFL) is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.


Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
