Special Olympics Florida athletes will compete in the 2024 Central Region Regional Stand Up Paddleboard Competition on Saturday, July 13. Volunteers are needed to help with escorting athletes, awards and more.
Volunteers are also needed in the water, to help as water marshals and starters - for those volunteers, we look for paddlers with experience and that are comfortable in the water.
Volunteers will receive:
- A FREE Special Olympics White T-Shirt
- FREE Lunch
- A record of community service hours
Volunteer Requirements:
- Complete a Class B form - this will be emailed to all registrants prior to the event
- Bring a photo ID to the event
- Volunteers under 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult

Description
Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
