Purpose:
Facilitate Reconnection Workshop modules for military personnel, veterans, and their families in various community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Red Cross mission and the United States military.
- Facilitate Reconnection Workshops for military personnel, veterans, and their families.
- Operate under the supervision of the Regional Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Lead.
- Perform duties within the scope of licensure and training.
- Stay current with mental health research and practices relevant to military personnel, veterans, and their families.
- Record volunteer hours under the Red Cross policy.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and unencumbered mental health professional eligible for SAF.
- Available to mentor and co-teach training with new Reconnection Workshop facilitators.
- Personal or professional experience working with the military is a plus.
- Possession of a master's degree or higher in a mental health field.
Development Opportunities:
- Engage in professional development opportunities.
- Offer programmatic feedback for new resiliency initiatives.
- Manage volunteers and work independently or as part of a team.
- Advocate for, share, and promote resiliency information within the local community.
- Maintain clinical activity to meet professional licensing requirements.
