Please consider helping this older adult in our community maintain a sense of pride in their home by cutting weeds in the front and back yards. The volunteer would need to take equipment needed for the task.
By helping this individual you will also be helping them stay in their own homes longer with a better quality of life. Let us know today if you will join SeniorHelp to assist this client.

Mission Statement
To help older Nebraskans live independently, live with dignity, and remain for as long as possible in their own homes.
Description
SeniorHelp is a program offered through the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. SeniorHelp volunteers provide direct services to aging adults in the community needing assistance with such things as transportation, companionship, home maintenance, household/personal assistance (light housekeeping, organization, reading mail, laundry, etc.), interior/exterior painting, yard work, snow removal, and delivery of weekday Meals on Wheels. Our program coordinates both ongoing matches and one-time assignments. Volunteers can commit as little or as much time as they choose and most of our opportunities allow flexibility in scheduling.
All of our volunteers must be 19 yrs old or accompanied by a parent/guardian when volunteering. Because of the vulnerability of our clients, we are unable to disclose client information and set up assignments until a volunteer has enrolled in our program by completing an application. In addition to the application, etc., we screen volunteers by conducting a criminal background check and personal reference checks
