Cooking Matters is a program that provides resources to encourage healthy, affordable meals. We need volunteers to help this program in the form of class assistant and a chef or culinary instructor! Please see below for more information about the chef or culinatry instructor role.

Do you know tips and tricks for chopping produce, combining flavors, or making ingredient swaps to save time and money? Cooking Matters is interactive; therefore, the instructor’s role is to guide the process (not just lecture or demo) and delegate tasks to participants for hands-on learning. Talking points include: knife skills, food safety, meal planning, healthy and low-cost substitutions, quick and easy preparation techniques, and ways to stretch ingredients over multiple meals.
