We are excited to announce our upcoming outdoor event and are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a success! The Monongahela Marsden Block Association, a dedicated community-based group, is hosting a gathering for our Hazelwood neighbors in collaboration with Community Revival Hazelwood, and we need your support. This celebration is set to bring our Hazelwood neighbors together for an evening of fun, food, and community spirit, and we need your support to make it a success.

Volunteer Role: Food Servers
We are looking for 3 volunteers to assist with serving food to approximately 65 attendees. If you have food service experience and a passion for community service, we would love to have you join our team!

Volunteer roles for the evening include serving food to the guests, ensuring food areas are clean and well-maintained, and providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, meet new people, and enjoy a delightful evening outdoors.

About Center of Life

161 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide families and youth with the life-skills, education, training and resources necessary to be strong and to make their communities strong. Our vision is to empower and equip families to bring economic revitalization to their communities. We believe this is achieved through building sustainable partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally. At COL we believe "everything is about people."

Center of Life (COL) is a community-empowerment organization located in the Greater Hazelwood Neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Our programs focus on music and arts, athletics, and education.

Founded in 2002 by Tim Smith, COL stands with the people of Hazelwood as they strive to be strong and make their communities strong. With its roots planted deeply in the community and supported by extraordinary partners, COL serves Hazelwood and its surrounding communities with the rich academic out-of-school programs and outstanding experiences in music and arts. COL employs a holistic approach to community through all of its programs, believing that commitment to others is most productive when you walk with those served in their schools, homes and families.

Center of Life hosts multiple youth programs including The KRUNK Movement, Center of Life Jazz, Fusion, and Camp Hazelwood. These programs combine music, art, dance, academics, and athletics rooted in the academic content areas and curricula of the Pennsylvania Department of Education Academic Standards.

Center of Life also hosts community and family engagement to provide families and community members with the knowledge, tools, and strategies they need to move from surviving to thriving.

At Center of Life we believe "everything is about people."
