Do you love crafting with paper?

Lyngblomsten is seeking a creative volunteer to join our team and help bring joy to our residents! We have a vibrant arts and crafts program, but some of our residents, with an average age of 87, need a little extra support with tasks requiring dexterity and hand strength.

This is where you come in! As a paper craft volunteer, you'll assist residents with various paper craft projects, such as:

  • Punching out intricate shapes and borders for cards and decorations
  • Folding and assembling paper creations

What you'll gain:

  • The satisfaction of helping others and bringing smiles to their faces
  • The opportunity to connect with a friendly and appreciative community
  • A chance to share your love of paper crafts

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with seniors
  • Has a patient and encouraging personality

No prior crafting experience is necessary! We provide all the materials. Paper craft activities typically take place on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:45pm.

If you're looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity that combines creativity with compassion, we'd love to hear from you!

Please contact Melanie at mjagolino@lyngblomsten.org to learn more. We will walk you through volunteer orientation and a Dept of Human Services background study (required for working with vulnerable populations).
