WE ARE IN NEED OF AN ELECTRONICS VOLUNTEER!!
The Electronics volunteers examine, clean, and price incoming small kitchen appliances, radios, lamps, gadgets, etc. to ensure they are in good working order. No repair experience required.
USE YOUR SKILLS , HOBBIES , AND TALENTS TO HELP OTHERS!
Sales from the Haven Hospice Attic Stores directly support Hospice patients and families, and provides special programs that support our communities in countless ways:
· Grief Support services and meetings for adults.
· Camp Safe Haven , a free day camp for children and teens that have experienced a loss in their life.
· Our Dementia Care Program, a specialty program that is purposefully designed to provide care for hospice patients living with cognitive disorders and to support their caregivers.
· Special Recognition services for veterans, first responders and their families.
· No One Dies Alone , a program that provides specially-trained volunteers who accompany patients during the last hours of their lives.
· Workshops on Advance Care Planning and healthcare decision making.
· Charity Care that supports those that may not otherwise have the ability to pay for hospice services.
· Patient Special Need requests.
Haven Hospice Attic Stores also provide an affordable place to shop, a great place to donate, and a fun place to volunteer .
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Whether you have just a few hours, or several days a week available- we have an opportunity that is right for you.
· Receive donations - have fun interacting with donors that provide precious items and is the core of our operations!
· Customer Service - check out customers and provide excellent customer service. We have the BEST customers around and always have a great time.
· Donation Processing - choose your department of specialty or receive an assignment. This may include sorting clothing, working with electrical household items, cleaning, and arranging furniture, or working in many of the other areas you can imagine.
· General Housekeeping - are you a neat freak or major organizer? We can use your skills!
· Stocking - if merchandising is your talent, then we can always use your help making our sales floor appealing for shoppers.
STUDENTS/GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS
- We welcome Bright Future Students - you must be in the 9 th to 12 th grade to volunteer and we work with your schedule.
- Do you have a Group you want to organize a volunteer experience with? We can help! We enjoy hosting groups from colleges, civic organizations, churches, businesses, family days, and anyone that is interested in sharing their volunteer experience with others.
