Volunteer Opportunity: Grant Application Specialist

The Ben Hogan Foundation is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced volunteer to assist with grant applications. If you have a background in writing and applying for grants, particularly for nonprofit organizations, we need your expertise to secure funding that will support our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities
  • Write and submit grant proposals
  • Collaborate with the team to gather necessary information and documentation
  • Monitor and report on the status of submitted grants
  • Provide recommendations for improving the grant application process

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in writing and applying for grants
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with nonprofit funding sources and requirements

Commitment: Ideally this role will align with your availability of 5 to 10 hours per week. There is potential for the role to expand to regular hours if it suits both the volunteer and the organization.

The office is located in Fort Worth, Texas at Shady Oaks Country Club but this role can be accomplished remotely.

If you are local you will have the opportunity to volunteer at other golf events such as the Charles Schwab Challenge and more!

The Foundation was established in 2007 to ensure that in Ben Hogan’s absence, the characteristics that he personified throughout his life; resilience, courage, determination and perseverance - are recognized, rewarded and encouraged in the young people and veterans of today. We accomplish this work through tournaments, scholarships and programs and with the incredible support of our ongoing partners and sponsors who provide the regular funding that a non-profit needs to maintain daily operations.
