ORGANIZATION: Access Hospice Care

Like military service, hospice care is a team effort. You're invited to join our team!

We pair veteran hospice patients with veteran volunteers. Since they share many common military experiences, our volunteers have a unique ability to relate and connect with fellow veterans - providing patients with the commpassionate support and service they have earned and deserve.

We are end-of-life care experts and proud partners of the "We Honor Veterans" program. Our Veteran-to-Veteram Volunteer Program provides volunteers with the training needed to support military service veterans and their families with in-home hospice care.

Veteran volunteers help provide both direct and indirect patient support. Examples include:
* Sitting, reminiscing, or reading with patients
* Light house or yard work
* Writing letters
* Dog walking
* Watching television/sports or listening to music
* Assistance in replacing lost military awards
* Taking part in veteran recognition ceremonies
* Providing check-in calls

If you want to make a big difference in the life of a hopsice veteran, please call us today!
