ORGANIZATION: MUSKEGON PREGNANCY SERVICES

An advocate will provide compassionate care to a women going through a pregnancy, without judgment. They will walk along side them during their visit to the medical center, collecting basic informaiton, reviewing the limitations of services, and providing medical accuate information on their pregnancy options.

Training is provided.

Commitment of at least 2 1/2 hours per week.

Description

Muskegon Pregnancy Services(MPS) is a local, non-profit organization providing compassionate support and care to those in our community since 1985. MPS provides services in areas of support services, youth based sexual risk avoidance education, and medical care. Our support services include prenatal and parenting education, where clients can learn about pregnancy and life, relationship, and parenting skills, while earning much need items. Our youth based sexual risk avoidance program is known as Best Options. This programs provides sexual and relational health classes in schools and youth organizations. The medical care offers non-judgmental and confidential pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, limited STI testing, and medically accurate information on pregnancy options, at no cost to the client.
