Title: Therapeutic Recreation Assistant - Garden Visit Volunteer
Duties: Wednesdays/Thursdays, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors? The New Jewish Home is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team as Therapeutic Recreation Assistants for our Garden Visit program. This role involves assisting our residents from units FK-3 and FR-5 with their visits to our beautiful garden, providing them with fresh air, social interaction, and a chance to enjoy nature.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents in and out of the building to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Engaging with residents in meaningful conversations and activities during garden visits.
  • Collaborating with Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Sarah LaRochelle, to facilitate a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
  • Ensuring that all activities comply with the health and safety guidelines set by The New Jewish Home.

This volunteer opportunity is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. If you are compassionate, enthusiastic, and looking to contribute to a vibrant community, we would love to hear from you!
